Herbert R. Mores Grave Marker

This grave marker which is at St. Joseph's Cemetery, located at 179 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey reveals that Herbert R. Mores served in the United States Army before or during World War II and died at the age of 65. Herbert R. Mores was not on the Original Wall Unit List, but this confirms his connection to Hackensack by being buried within its borders since passing and forevermore.

Herbert R. Mores would have been too young at only 14 years old to be serving during World War I.  He would have been 38 at the outbreak of World War II and too old for the draft, but his service was in the medical field, so he possibly enlisted or was a career servicemen at the time.

Herbert R. Mores may possibly only have served between the two wars, but what we do know, whatever the story, is that his grave marker confirms his service for which we are grateful.
